Green Monster Films was founded in 1999 by independent filmmaker, Marc Powers. As a classically trained theater actor Marc has appeared in numerous theater productions and films. But it was his true passion for writing and filmmaking that led to the creation of his own independent production company.
    In 1998, upon completion of his second feature length screenplay, Marc was considering his options for getting it produced. Since he also wanted to direct and star in the project he decided his best option was to produce it himself. While being based out of Los Angeles, we assembled a cast and crew in the Boston area and flew out for production. When filming was complete we returned to Los Angeles to finish the feature and in September of 2000 "GREEN", Green Monster Films first feature, was released. Thus marking the beginning of Green Monster Films.
     Our goal for the future here at Green Monster Films is to produce and promote fresh new independent films on the cutting edge of entertainment.
