8/06/06  "Into the Black" was reviewed again. This time by FilmThreat.com. Let's just say it is a less flattering review than the one from MicroCinemaScene.com. Two out of Four stars. Just keep in mind they gave "Miami Vice" Two and a half stars and "Clerks" and "Lady in the Water" One and One and a half stars respectively.
That puts us below Michael Mann but ahead of Kevin Smith and M. Night Shamalayn. I'll take that as a compliment.
6/16/06  Well it's about time. We finally launched a CafePress.com store where you can buy our apparel, movie posters and Etc. So finally, you can look cool and support indie film by wearing one of our shirts. Visit the store by clicking this link.
5/05/06  "Into the Black" will be seen as part of The Unfiltered Film Series at Smuttynose Brewery in Portsmouth, N.H. This film series is a monthly event held to help promote local filmmakers and provide a venue for people to see films that they can't see at the local multiplex. 1/31/06  The first review is in for "Into the Black" and it's a doozy. Microcinemascene.com reviewer Jamie Lisk blessed us with four stars and goes on to say:
"Director Marc Powers’ second foray into independent filmmaking, is a slick, brilliantly-crafted, metropolitan morality tale that will surely resonate with the viewer long after it has ended."
"Without a doubt, Into The Black is one of the finest urban crime-thrillers I’ve ever watched, mainstream, indie or otherwise."
Along with heaping on the accollades for the acting talent as well he had this to say about the soundtrack.
"Powers seems to have raided the local indie music scene in order to compile one of the finest soundtracks ever. It includes the talents of DCM, Big Moe, Hybrid 216, Dan Blakeslee, Mike Martell and Corey Cain. The song "Into the Black" performed by Colleen Walsh Cain, is truly beautiful."

9/19/05  Well the "XJAM 05" premiere came and went and it was a pretty good success. We are now officialy in full swing for promoting the DVD. More info on the project is available on this site here at the XJAM pages. We have submitted to UndergroundFilm.org and hopefully the entire film will be up on that site soon. DVD copies of the film are now available at the Green Monster Films store. (At $5 plus s+h a copy they really are a steal. Basically we are selling these at about our cost just to get this thing out there and help promote everybody that was involved in it.)
8/9/05  Green Monster Films in collaboration with Bad Bones Studios are proud to announce the premiere of "XJAM 05". This action packed half hour long music video features some of New Englands hardest hitting Metal bands: Recognizer,
Back to Life,

Also mixed in is a healthy dose of some of the sickest, badass BMX stunts you've ever seen. World Record Bunny Hop BMXer Jeff Lenosky appears along with the Giant/WD40 BMX stunt team of Eric Soto and Mike Parenti, on the mad aerial stunts, and legendary Flatlander,Ruben Castillo,
on the mind blowing asphalt burning "Flatland" action.
